Speed

Goal: Be the first to get rid of all your cards — there are NO turns, you both play at the same time, as fast as you can. You each hold up to five cards, backed by your own 15-card draw pile.

How to play: two face-up piles sit in the centre. Play any card from your hand onto a centre pile if it's one rank ABOVE or BELOW the top card there (on a 7 you can play a 6 or an 8). Aces and Kings wrap around, so an Ace accepts a 2 or a King. Your hand refills from your draw pile automatically.

Stuck: when neither of you can play, you both tap Flip and two fresh cards are turned onto the centre piles.

Winning: first to play every card from their hand and draw pile wins. If you're both stuck with nothing left to flip, whoever has fewer cards left wins.
