How to play Letter Grid
Goal: Score the most points by building words on the shared board from your rack of seven letters.
Your turn: lay tiles in one straight line to make a word that joins the words already on the board (the first word must cover the centre star). Or swap some tiles, or pass.
Scoring: add up the letter values on your tiles (shown on each tile). Premium squares count once, when you first cover them — DL doubles a letter, TL triples it, DW doubles the whole word, TW triples it. Use all seven tiles in one turn for a 50-point bonus.
Swaps: you can swap tiles while the bag still holds at least seven.
End: once the bag is empty, the first player to use their last tile ends the game and adds the value of their opponent's leftover tiles to their score (the opponent loses the same amount). Six scoreless turns in a row (passes or swaps) also end it, and each player then loses the value of their own leftover tiles. Highest score wins.
