How to play Kings in the Corner

Goal: Be the first to empty your hand. You each start with seven cards; four piles are dealt face-up around the deck, with an empty corner between each.

Turn: You draw one card from the deck at the START of your turn, then make as many plays and pile-moves as you like, then end your turn.

Build: Play a card one rank lower and the opposite colour onto a pile (a red 6 on a black 7); you can also move a whole pile onto another that fits, which frees up that spot for any card.

Corners: Only a King can start a pile in one of the four corners.

Winning: empty your hand to win outright. If the deck runs out AND neither of you can make another move, the game ends there — whoever has fewer cards left wins (equal cards is a draw).
